Atlantis is currently working with several renewable power project developers in Australia assessing the viability of using tidal power generation to provide unique electrification solutions in remote locations. Australia has abundant tidal resource especially in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria. The Australian Government’s commitment to addressing the issue of climate change has strengthened the economic rationale for the adoption of alternate classes of renewable generation assets such as tidal power to meet mandatory targets. Atlantis has assessed a number of viable sites Australia-wide and is now working with independent project developers to establish off-grid and commercial scale tidal power projects with the assistance of local and state governments.
